Main cities
The main cities of both countries are below!
Iceland
- Reykjavík
Reykjavík is the capital of Iceland and immediately the most important city of Iceland. Almost 60% of the whole population in Iceland lives here! That's an incredible high percentage. Unsurprisingly, this area homes most major administrative and business headquarters in the country as well as some of the main cultural attractions.

- Akureyri
Akureyri is the largest town outside Greater Reykjavík. The town is situated Eyjafjörður fjord, the longest fjord in Iceland. Today, Akureyri is the centre for trade, services and communications in north Iceland and has been so for a long time since the oldest references are from 1602.

- Ísafjörður
Ísafjörður is the 'capital' and also the largest city in the Westfjords region. Some 3000 people live there.
Fishing is the most important economic sector in this city.

Malta
- Valleta
Valletta, which has been on the World Heritage List since 1980, is undoubtedly one of the cutest capitals in the world. The city has a sloping character (sometimes with steep streets) and there is no need to get lost. Valletta is a pre-planned city, which makes it look like a large chessboard with straight roads from above.

- Mdina
Mdina is the old capital of Malta and is located in the middle of the country. Until 1530 the country was ruled from this town. Or actually village, because only 400 people live in Mdina. Yet there are many tourists, because of the many beautiful cathedrals, palaces and squares. Because no motorized vehicles are allowed in Mdina, it is also called 'the silent city'.

- Victoria (Gozo)
Victoria is the capital of Gozo, which, after main island Malta, is the largest island in the country. The city lies in the middle of the country and virtually all roads lead to Victoria. A large part of the city, the Cittadella, is built on a hill.

CONCLUSION:
Iceland has many business-oriented cities and with Malta they are more historical. Both countries have beautiful cities with a lot of potential and it certainly seems worthwhile to visit.
